Results of the EHRA’s General Meeting and Regional Meetings in Russia and South-Eastern Europe regions

During the May 21 to June 4, 2018 Eurasian Harm Reduction Association (EHRA) conducted online General and Regional Meetings (in Russia and South-Eastern Europe) of its members. Quorums for the General and Regional meetings to elect new Steering Committee members needed no less than one third of the members.

GENERAL MEETING

According to the Statute of EHRA, no less than 1/3 (33,33%) of members shall participate in the General meeting, which means that at least 69 members should participate in the voting procedure. 108 participants took part in the online General meeting of EHRA members. 97 individual and organizational members’ votes are considered eligible for voting in the online General meeting. 11 votes were not counted as valid, because they didn’t have a right to vote in the EHRA online General meeting (not official individual or organizational members of EHRA or not official representatives of the organizations). Thus, quorum was reached, as 47,32% of members participated in the General meeting.

As a result, the online General meeting approved all six announced EHRA issues:

  1. Approval of EHRA financial report for 2017 year (Confirmed – 91; didn’t confirm – 2; abstained – 4);
  2. Approval of Regulations of the General and Regional members’ meetings of EHRA (Confirmed – 95; didn’t confirm – 0; abstained – 2);
  3. Approval of Regulations of the Steering Committee of EHRA (Confirmed – 93; didn’t confirm – 1; abstained – 3);
  4. Approval to prolong terms for 2 more months for 5 members of the Steering Committee and shorten term of 2 months for 1 member (Confirmed – 85; didn’t confirm – 1; abstained – 11);
  5. Approval of the timeline of the Regional meetings to elect Steering Committee members (Confirmed – 94; didn’t confirm – 0; abstained – 3);
  6. Approval of EHRA Advisory Board (Confirmed – 91; didn’t confirm – 1; abstained – 5).

REGIONAL MEETINGS IN RUSSIA AND SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE REGIONS

  1. RUSSIA. In total the region has 20 official EHRA members, who were eligible to vote. From those 20 members – 17 participated in the meeting and cast the vote for their candidate, which means, that quorum was met, because 85% of members from the region participated in the elections of the SC member. All votes were counted as eligible.

The results of voting:

  • Maxim Malyshev – 12 votes (70,59% of all valid votes)
  • Alexander Levin – 5 votes (29,41% of all valid votes)

Maxim Malyshev is elected for 3 years term as EHRA Steering Committee member to represent Russia region.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE. In total the region has 22 official EHRA members, who were eligible to vote. From those 22 members – 13 participated in the meeting and cast the vote for their candidate, which means, that quorum was met, because 59,09% of members from the region participated in the elections of the SC member. All votes were counted as eligible.

The results of voting:

  • Samir Ibisevic – 12 votes (92,31% of all valid votes)
  • Miso Pejkovic – 1 vote (7,69% of all valid votes)

 Samir Ibisevic is elected for 3 years term as EHRA Steering Committee member to represent South-Eastern Europe region.
