The specific outputs for the research:
- One report per each country – Moldova and Belarus – in both Russian and English, to be used to inform national advocacy aimed at policy change in each country by national and regional civil society partners involved in the research;
- One peer review journal article on the project and its outcomes;
- One seminar at Swansea University under the auspices of the Centre on Criminal Justice and Criminology on the project and its findings;
- The methodology and outcomes from this two countries study will be adapted and used as the basis for a larger multi-country CEECA research in 2019/2020.
The research will be done in partnership with Swansea University School of Law.
The objective of the project is to generate a more accurate picture of the use of new psychoactive substances (NPS) in Belarus and Moldova, which will then be used to inform both policy advocacy by domestic civil society organisations as well as to contribute to the international peer review literature on NPS use.
